PROFESSIONAL & TEACHING EXPERIENCE
Director, Student Affairs | African University of Science and Technology | Abuja, Nigeria | 2011–12
AUST is a pan-African Science and Technology post-graduate university funded by the World Bank and the Nelson Mandela Institute. There, I coordinated admissions, academic records, financial aid, and career/research opportunities for 148 master's and doctoral students. I also taught English as a second language to francophone students.
Operations Manager (Consultant) | The Khana Group | Abuja, Nigeria | 2013 – 14
The Khana Group is a development advisory firm where I managed operations for “Educating Nigerian Girls in New Enterprises (ENGINE)” – a program sponsored by Coca-Cola, to empower 100,000 marginalized girls through literacy, numeracy, and business skills development. I recruited, trained, and evaluated 40 personnel for data collection across Lagos, FCT, Kano, and Kaduna.
McNair Scholars Program Graduate Assistant | University of Delaware |USA | 2008-10
I taught GRE Math prep classes to a class of 30 undergraduate scholars, as well as one-on-one tutoring and general graduate school application prep. I also sourced and planned group excursions, community engagement, and volunteer activities.
